JOB SUMMARY

The Custodian is responsible for the hygiene and cleanliness of the plant's facilities.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Sweep and mop rest rooms, clean commodes, and urinals, sinks and mirrors, empty trash cans
• Fill paper holders as needed
• Sweep and mop canteen, clean table, fill napkin holders, assures condiments are accessible
• Clean wipe canteen machinery
• Keep rest rooms and canteen walls free of grease
• Sweep employee entrance clean
• Sweep aisles in locker area, keep trash off top of lockers
• During summer months, keep liquid drink mix prepared and cups in canteen
• Clean water fountains
• Sweep and mop quality assurance and supervisor's offices
• Vacuum or sweep front offices, dust as needed, mop as needed, empty trash
• Requisition cleaning supplies as needed
• Progressively clean under-pan areas of DCM's during shutdowns or die changes.
• Scrape packed grease from floor as needed in heavy traffic areas.
• Empty all local trash cans into main trash receptacle hoppers.
• Break down cardboard for proper disposal.
• Assist maintenance in equipment cleaning during project repairs.
• Progressively clean truck dock areas, trash dumpster areas, and ramp areas outside, as needed.
• Any other duties assigned

Requirements and Certifications

• Self-motivated and able to work with minimal supervision
• Must be able to communicate in English
• Must be able and willing to work required hours and overtime if necessary
